For most of Australia skilled visas, for you to claim point towards your EOI point, you must have at least Proficient English capability.
To prove you have Proficient English, you must show evidence that in the 3 years before you are invited to apply for the visa, you scored one of the following:

| Occupational English Test (OET) | At least B for each of the 4 test components |
| Cambridge C1 Advanced test | At least 185 in each of the 4 test components |
