Police Dismisses Portable’s Claim Of Being Mentally Unstable

Singer Portable, who has been declared wanted by the police posted a video on Instagram, claiming he’s a madman. 

Portable declared that he is a madman and that he has a card in Federal neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro, Abeokuta, where he’s receiving treatment. 

However, Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) maintained that the singer must surrender himself for investigation. 

Odutola (PRO) says “Portable will come and submit himself. He cannot be in the Psychiatrist Hospital in Aro. Everybody knows he’s a wanted person. If he’s in any facility, the police must be informed. He’s a wanted man.”

The Ogun State Police Command has earlier declared portable wanted for his involvement in a violent attack on government officials carrying out their lawful duties. 

It was revealed that 3 officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, were conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, where they met an elderly man (Portable’s father). Upon identifying themselves, they requested for the approved building plan and the  father informed them that his son was not available.

“However, moments later, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a gang of nine thugs in a violent attack on the unarmed officials”

The officials sustained bodily injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command.

Portable fled the scene and has been in hiding since then.
