Lady Arrested for Allegedly Defrauding People Through Fake Surgery Appeal.

A lady, identified as Ogechi Okechukwu on Facebook has been arrested for conniving with a doctor to defraud people by claiming she needed money for surgery. 

Ogechi’s cry for help attracted many Facebook users who, when moved with empathy, unknowingly donated money for the fake surgery. 

Uwaoma Susan Joseph, a popular Facebook Influencer helped raised some money for ogechi amounting into over five hundred thousand naira #500,000, believing that her situation was genuine. 

Investigation reveals that the cry for help was a calculated scam. 

Ogechi Okechukwu, who resides in yenagoa was arrested after her incriminating conversations with the said doctor was revealed on her phone. 

Ms Ogechi is currently in custody as investigation on this alleged fraud is ongoing.
