TO APPLY FOR AN AUSTRALIAN VISITOR VISA (SUBCLASS 600), YOU CAN FOLLOW THESE GENERAL STEPS:
- Check eligibility: Review the eligibility criteria for the Visitor Visa (subclass 600) on the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs website to ensure you meet the requirements.
- Gather documents: Collect all required documents, including a valid passport, completed visa application form (Form 1419), proof of funds to support your stay in Australia, a letter explaining the purpose of your visit, travel itinerary, and health insurance.
- Apply online: Create an ImmiAccount on the Department of Home Affairs website and complete the visa application form (Form 1419) online.
- Pay the fee: Pay the visa application fee. The fee varies depending on the type of visa and your location.
- Biometrics and health checks: Depending on your country of nationality, you may need to undergo health examinations or provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo). You will be notified if this is necessary.
- Submit your application: After completing the application form and uploading all required documents, submit your application online through your ImmiAccount.
- Wait for a decision: Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email. The processing time for Visitor Visas can vary, so check the current processing times on the Department of Home Affairs website.
- Receive your visa: If your visa is approved, you will receive a visa grant notice with the details of your visa. If your visa is refused, you will be notified of the reasons for the refusal.
